TRAIN THE TRAINER
TRAIN THE TRAINER
Develop English teacher training capacity.
Training is a critical piece of the success of any organization. Improved skills and knowledge at all levels increase competency and productivity. Whether you’re looking to improve training skills for yourself, subject matter experts in your organization, or internal trainers, you’ve come to the right place for your train-the-trainer course needs.
At SSEC, our ‘Train the Trainer’ program is a face–to–face course for experienced teachers. Participants develop the knowledge and skills they need to train English language teachers working in primary and secondary schools. They learn how to run training sessions, observe teaching and give feedback.
With Train the Trainer, teachers show that they:
-
have developed skills for designing and delivering teacher training sessions and courses
-
have deepened their understanding of key issues in planning and delivering training courses
-
have developed an understanding of good practice in observing and giving feedback to course participants
-
have identified strategies for their further development as a trainer.
Reasons to choose Train the Trainer:
-
Develop skilled local teacher trainers using TESOL/TEFL English expertise.
-
Build sustainability into teacher development programmes.
-
Gives experienced teachers the opportunity to extend their skills and experience.
The Train the Trainer course helps participants to:
-
design and deliver teacher training sessions and courses
-
observe other teachers and give supportive feedback
-
understand how to develop further as a trainer.
The course provides:
-
generic teacher training skills
-
familiarisation with a specific training course, enabling participants to become ELP teachers/trainers.
There are six Train the Trainer modules. All six modules have a practical focus.
